I really can't believe that I just typed that title but it's true, the lovely Em has given me an award. I really don't know what to say. Thank-you Em. Apparently I have to tell you five things about myself that you don't know, well here goes,
1. I don't like spiders, I mean I really don't like spiders.
2. I used to have a West Highland Terrier called Hamish. He died 2 years ago and I still really miss him.
3. I have an A level in Archaeology.
4. I love Philip Pullmans' trilogy, His Dark Materials.
5. I'm hopeless at knitting but I am hoping to get better.
I now have to pass this award on to three fellow bloggers, so here goes,
Em at Mousy Brown's House
Dawn at Rattling On
Cheryl at Time to Craft
I enjoy reading all of these and I'm sure you would too, if you don't already.
On a completely different note I have been doing some crochet, not the granny squares but a shawl.
I'm hoping it will be warm enough and that I won't need a mac and wellies instead!
Hope you all have a good weekend,
Sue xx
P.S. Thank you for all the lovely comments about my eldest on the last post.
You're most welcome about the awatd!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and it always cheers me up when I see you've updated it.
Now...I looooove that crocheted shawl...do you have the pattern or could you tell me where I could get it??
I'd decided to save my beautiful Italian aran wool for a shawl and this looks perfect.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
Em xxx
Well done on the award! The shawl looks gorgeous - my crochet skills need some serious work - but I've been knitting for so long I could probably do it standing on my head (although I would need a crane to turn me upside down!!)
ReplyDeleteooh that crochet looks lovely x
ReplyDeletethe rose you asked about is madame alfred carriere.
Hi. I just found your blog on lovely Em's. I'm loving your blog. Lynda xx
ReplyDeleteI feel totally honoured that you are passing the award on to me. Thank you. I love "His Dark Materials" too and I wish I had gone to a college that offered Archaeology as an A Level.
ReplyDeleteLove the shawl.I hope you enjoyed the b-b-q.
congratulations on the award and well done with the shawl. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteWell done on the award front. I was due to do an A level in Archaeology but they cancelled the course as I was the only one who wanted to do it. I was very upset! I love the shawl. I'm a real shawl lover and have a heap of them queued on Ravelry yet I don't actually wear them!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the award. I love finding new blogs this way.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sue - sorry it has taken so long for me to pop in and discover it - I am afraid keeping up with all my favourite blogs is something that has slipped in the chaotic hours (and lots of sleeping!) that make up these summer months! I really appreciate you listing me and it's lovely to learn more about you! :D
